In addition to welcoming refreshed accommodations and attractions, tourism officials in the British overseas territory are gearing up for the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Anegada Lobster Festival over the U.S. Thanksgiving holidays (November 25-27, 2022), and 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival, one of the Caribbean’s premier annual racing events.
Also marking its golden anniversary next year is the relaunched Bitter End Yacht Club, which will unveil a number of exciting developments.
Notable accommodations updates in the BVI include:
- The Inn at Cornucopia has recently reopened on Virgin Gorda.
- This fall Jost Van Dyke will welcome The Hideout in White Bay, which will be the island’s first luxury boutique resort perfectly situated on one of the Caribbean’s top-rated beaches.
- Long Bay Beach Resort on Tortola recently opened four of 10 new Hillside Suites. The remainder is expected to be opened in October.
- Oil Nut Bay on Virgin Gorda will be going through renovations to two of its dining outlets – The Beach Club and The Pavillion. Oil Nut Bay’s helicopter pad is in the process of approval to become an international airport, allowing for international air arrivals directly to the resort.
