Hospitality veteran Billy Cueto has taken over the reins of the iconic Four Seasons Resort Nevis from Four Seasons Regional Vice President Yvette Thomas-Henry.
The 20-year Four Seasons veteran brings to his role as general manager vast luxury hospitality experience and will oversee all operations for the acclaimed property.
“I am thrilled to be a part of this unique resort that personifies a modern embodiment of the spirit and soul of the Caribbean,” said Cueto, who was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. “I am excited to bring my personal touches and managerial style to the team, inspiring them to further elevate the unparalleled service for which our property is known and create lasting memories and deeper cultural connections for our guests.”
Thomas-Henry, who was born on St. Thomas and raised on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, joined the property as general manager about two years ago, becoming the first Caribbean native to serve in the top position in Nevis or any other Four Seasons property in the Caribbean. It is unclear what her next assignment will be with the luxury resort chain.
Cueto most recently served as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. Prior to that, he spent time as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla. He has worked across six Four Seasons properties throughout his professional journey.
His appointment comes on the heels of a recent resort enhancement project, which was completed just before the COVID-19 pandemic closed the resort and St. Kitts and Nevis’ borders until November 2020.
The renovation included upgrades to all 189 guest rooms and suites, public spaces, dining outlets, Kids for All Seasons kids club as well as the construction of a brand new signature infinity edge Limin’ Pool.
The resort continues to roll out enhancements, most recently completing a resurfacing project at the Peter Burwash International Tennis Centre along with the addition of four new pickleball courts.
