During the pandemic, we did communicate a lot and we even became stronger because of that communication \u2026 so it\u2019s an exhilarating feeling that this is going to be better than ever,\u201d said Paige.<\/p>\n<p>While challenges \u2013 such as inflation, supply chain issues and docking capacity \u2013 need to be tackled head on, many destinations and cruise lines have reported a <strong>robust rebound<\/strong> to the sector, especially with the easing of pandemic-related health protocols.<\/p>\n<p>Paige also shared the <strong>\u201ctime is now\u201d<\/strong> for Caribbean destinations to present <strong>creative customer-focused experiences<\/strong> for consideration by the cruise lines. \u201cWe need more product in the destinations,\u201d she said, explaining that shore excursions don\u2019t need to cater only to large groups.<\/p>\n<p>She suggested tours accommodating guests with as few as 10 passengers could fit the bill for the cruise sector as well as experiences catering to a variety of tastes, ranging from exclusive to budget.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo the time is right to be able to put things into place, whether it\u2019s a new walking tour, whether it\u2019s a new adventure tour, whether a people-to-people (experience). It\u2019s the education, it\u2019s the history and the culture and this is what people want.
