Once certified, the trained participants will then share their acquired skills with teams across the island.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe aim is to positively impact the workforce with more competent staff and to create a stronger culture of <\/span><b>culinary entrepreneurship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Grenada and throughout the Caribbean,\u201d said <\/span><b>Barry Collymore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, WISH co-founder and the proprietor of Mount Cinnamon Resort. \u201cGrenada\u2019s culinary niche needs to be developed to its full potential and WISH aims to be at the forefront of this endeavor,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since its establishment in 2021, WISH has trained more than 1,000 students in Grenada. Through partnerships with institutions such as eCornell and the CIA, and with the support of tourism industry leaders, the school provides thousands of <\/span><b>hospitality scholarships<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> every year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new initiative will leverage the CIA\u2019s ProChef digital video series as a training platform through four phases, beginning as early as this summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chairman of the Grenada Tourism Authority <\/span><b>Randall Dolland<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said the Authority is committed to supporting private sector partners \u201cin our combined quest to ensure Grenada continues to excel.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis alliance between WISH and CIA will significantly underpin Grenada\u2019s position as one of the most significant food destinations in the Caribbean,\u201d Dolland added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2021, the World Food Travel Association named Grenada and sister islands Carriacou and Petite Martinique the <\/span><b>world\u2019s first \u201cCulinary Capital\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
