Quotable Caribbean — Kye Rymer, minister of communications and works, British Virgin Islands

October 19, 2026

“The gateway to the Caribbean is not one port. It is a region. Puerto Rico is not St. Thomas. St. Thomas is not Antigua and none of them are my beautiful Virgin Islands. That is not a weakness. That is the Caribbean’s greatest competitive advantage. No other cruise region packs that much variety into so short a distance.” — Kye Rymer, minister of communications and works, British Virgin Islands
