Marcus Simmonds, Chief Executive Officer of Tortuga International Holdings Ltd., was recognized as one of the 2025 CMEx Leadership Award recipients during the Caribbean Media Exchange (CMEx) awards ceremony held in Miami in December. The honor acknowledged Simmonds’ contributions to Caribbean tourism and enterprise as well as his role in advancing a globally recognized Caribbean brand rooted in regional identity, entrepreneurship and regional collaboration.
In brief remarks, Simmonds emphasized the themes of Caribbean unity and resilience, reflecting on the region’s collective response to recent challenges including recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. He dedicated the award to the Tortuga teams across the region whose work continues to elevate Caribbean excellence on the global stage.
