BERLIN, Germany (June 26, 2026) — Gregory Shervington, one of the Jamaica Tourist Board’s longest-serving international tourism executives, will conclude his current assignment with the organization at the end of June.
Shervington announced that he is stepping down after serving for more than 12 years as Regional Director for Continental Europe, based in Berlin, where he led Jamaica’s tourism marketing and trade development efforts across key European markets.
“It has been a privilege to represent Jamaica, build lasting partnerships, and contribute to the growth of our tourism industry across Europe.
“Grateful for the journey, proud of what we’ve achieved, and looking forward to what comes next,” Shervington wrote.
During his tenure in Europe, Shervington worked closely with industry stakeholders to strengthen Jamaica’s position in both established and emerging Continental European markets.
His career with the Jamaica Tourist Board began in 1999 as Marketing Representative for the Mid-Atlantic Region in the United States. He later served as District Sales Manager for the Western United States before leaving the organization to take on senior management positions with Sea Splash Resort and Island Outpost.
In 2014, Shervington returned to the Jamaica Tourist Board to lead its Continental Europe operations from Berlin.
Earlier in his career, Shervington served as a passenger service agent with American Airlines and held management positions with Wyndham Kingston, Braco Village Resort and Crowne Plaza Kingston, building a tourism career that has spanned nearly four decades.
No announcement has yet been made regarding his successor or future plans.
