BAHAMAS (March 19, 2026) — Sandiria Hall has joined The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation as director of International Relations.
A former economic and commercial specialist with the U.S. Department of State based in Nassau, she brings seasoned leadership to the ministry’s global engagement efforts as The Bahamas continues to strengthen its position as a leading Caribbean destination.
Hall, who joined the Ministry at the start of the year, spent her first months in the role building relationships with regional and international tourism partners while supporting the Ministry’s broader strategic priorities under the leadership of Director General Latia Duncombe.
“Tourism is the engine of the Bahamian economy,” Hall wrote on LinkedIn. “This role sits at the intersection of many of the issues I’ve spent my career working on — economic development, policy engagement, international partnerships, government engagement and regional cooperation.”
The position draws on Hall’s background in economic development, policy and government engagement, and regional cooperation, including her work at the intergovernmental CARICOM Secretariat in Guyana earlier in her career.
Hall also expressed enthusiasm for her new role and colleagues. “I’ve had the chance to work with some incredibly dedicated colleagues across the Ministry who are doing important work to keep The Bahamas competitive as a destination, a tourism leader in the region, and a strong voice in international forums.”
She returns to the Bahamas government having previously served as project manager of Trade and Industry in the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
