The recently renovated Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences has appointed Almando Rigby as general manager of the highly rated St. Lucia property.
Rigby, who most recently served as executive assistant manager at Rock House Resort, part of Grace Bay Resorts, Turks & Caicos, brings more than 20 years of experience in luxury resort operations across the Caribbean.
As general manager, he will oversee all aspects of resort operations, with a focus on strengthening performance, driving revenue and enhancing the overall guest experience. He will lead the resort’s departments to ensure consistent service standards, operational efficiency and seamless delivery of the Windjammer experience.
“The resort has built a strong reputation for outstanding hospitality. I look forward to working with the team to build on that foundation, further elevate the guest experience and reinforce its position as one of the Caribbean’s leading luxury resorts,” said Rigby, who has roots in The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos.
Rigby’s appointment marks a new chapter for Windjammer Landing following an extensive $40 million renovation of the resort in northern St. Lucia and the addition of La Belle Hélène, an ultra-exclusive 10-bedroom estate in Soufrière in the island’s south.
