ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA (May 12, 2026) — Brian Murphy, director of operations at Carlisle Bay Antigua, has been appointed incoming chairman of the Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA).

Murphy assumes the role after Craig Marshall resigned as chairman. Marshall, who was first elected in 2023 and re-elected in 2025, is stepping down to take on additional responsibilities outside the ABHTA membership.

The association expressed gratitude to Marshall for his dedicated service and leadership. During his tenure, he brought a people-centered approach to the organization’s mission and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism and hospitality industry.

Murphy takes up the position as Antigua and Barbuda hosts the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s Caribbean Travel Marketplace this week.
