KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent and the Grenadines (June 18, 2026) — Global Ports Holding (GPH), a leading cruise port operator and management company, is expanding its footprint in the Caribbean with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The agreement paves the way for exclusive negotiations on the management, development and operation of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cruise Port (SVG Cruise Port).

Under the MOU, both parties will work toward a concession agreement under which GPH would manage the port on behalf of the government. The port will remain under government ownership, while GPH contributes its global expertise in cruise port operations, infrastructure development, and cruise line relationships to support the destination’s growth.

Strategically located in the southeastern Caribbean near key cruise hubs such as Barbados, St. Lucia and Grenada, the SVG Cruise Port currently welcomes more than 200,000 passengers annually and holds significant potential for expansion.

Subject to the execution of definitive agreements and the award of concession rights, the initiative aims to modernize the port’s infrastructure and operations, expand berthing capacity to accommodate larger cruise vessels, and elevate the overall passenger experience. These enhancements are designed to strengthen the country’s cruise tourism sector, boost competitiveness in the Southern Caribbean market, and ensure future development prioritizes environmental sustainability.

GPH, which operates in Antigua & Barbuda, The Bahamas, St. Lucia and Puerto Rico, also intends to collaborate with the government and local stakeholders to develop shore excursion opportunities. This partnership seeks to enrich the broader tourism offering, create new economic opportunities for local businesses and deliver greater benefits to communities.
