Discover Puerto Rico has announced the appointment of Jorge L. Pérezas its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective today.
Pérez brings more than two decades of experience in economic development, destination marketing, events and entertainment. Widely recognized for his transformative leadership, he has played a pivotal role in advancing Puerto Rico’s tourism and economic landscape, positioning the island as a premier destination for conventions, entertainment and high-impact events.
For the past 15 years, Pérez has served with Legends/ASM Global, where he most recently held the role of Regional General Manager overseeing some of Puerto Rico’s most iconic venues, including the Puerto Rico Convention Center, Coliseo de Puerto Rico, Coca-Cola Music Hall, and the Antiguo Casino.
He replaces Brad Dean, who is now the President and CEO of Explore St. Louis.
