Share

During last month’s 2026 Florida–Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) PAMAC Cruise Summit aboard Carnival Glory, Tova Hamilton, newly appointed Minister of State in Jamaica’s Ministry of Tourism, emphasized the critical role of tourism — particularly cruise tourism — in expanding opportunities for local participation and economic inclusion. She also underscored the importance of direct engagement with industry partners, noting that on-the-ground dialogue helps policymakers better understand operational realities and translate those insights into more informed, effective decision-making at home.
