PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands (June 11, 2026) — The Turks and Caicos Islands will welcome new nonstop service from Canada later this year as Porter Airlines launches flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Ottawa International Airport (YOW), further strengthening the destination’s already growing presence in the Canadian market.
Porter will begin operating five weekly flights from Toronto starting Nov. 6 and twice-weekly service from Ottawa beginning Dec. 17. The Turks and Caicos Islands is the fifth new sun destination added to Porter’s expanding winter seasonal network, joining recently announced service to Aruba; San José, Costa Rica; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Los Cabos, Mexico. The airline also serves Cancún and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Nassau, Bahamas; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; and Liberia, Costa Rica.
Passengers traveling on the new routes will experience Porter’s signature elevated economy service aboard its state-of-the-art, 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which features no middle seats, complimentary wine and beer served in glassware, premium snacks and free high-speed Wi-Fi. Turks and Caicos’ minister of tourism Zhavargo Jolly welcomed the announcement, noting that Canada continues to play an increasingly important role in the destination’s tourism growth strategy.
“Canada has become one of our most valuable tourism markets, and the addition of Porter Airlines service from both Toronto and Ottawa represents a significant investment in the future of the Turks and Caicos Islands,” Minister Jolly said.
“Over the past year, Experience Turks and Caicos has placed a strong emphasis on travel advisor training, tour operator engagement, and strategic marketing and public relations initiatives across Canada. We are seeing the results of those efforts through increased awareness, stronger demand and continued growth in visitor arrivals from the market.”
Arlington Musgrove, minister with responsibility for aviation and the Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority, said the new service reflects the success of the country’s airlift development strategy.
“This announcement reflects growing confidence in our destination and highlights the value of the Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority’s ongoing efforts to build strategic relationships with airline partners and identify opportunities for new and expanded service,” Minister Musgrove said. “Increased connectivity benefits not only our tourism industry but [also] the wider economy and the people of these islands.”
